“1st Saturday” Roda at Stanford
Dear all,
A roda at Stanford will be held every first Saturday of the month, 12pm in the gym where we train during the week (Ford Center). Everyone is encouraged to come and play, even bring friends. It’s a great chance to learn songs as well. Put those moves you learn during the week to good use!
Below are photos from the first one, from February 7, 2009. Thank you to those who were there!
Looking forward to the next one (March 7, 2009)! Mark your calendars!

Capoeirista, are you ready to step up your game?
Starting Monday Feb 02, 2009, Stanford Capoeira will be running 3 times a week to build endurance, strength and overall athleticism to help you bring your capoeira game to the next level. Like any worthwhile activity, capoeira is about taking your body and mind to levels you may not have thought possible. Lets get started.
Run times are as follows (they’ll also be posted on the Capoeira Narahari Google Calendar – search for it on public calendars):
Monday – 7:00pm Stanford Track
Wednesday – 8:30pm Stanford Track
Sunday – 7:00pm In front of Pizza My Heart ( 220 University Ave )
Stanford Track location map: http://campus-map.stanford.edu/index.cfm?ID=09-390 )
They’ll last for about 20 min to start so it’s not a huge time commitment. We plan to start running at the listed times, so do whatever you have to do to show up on time.
